Client Quotes

“TSA has become, and acts as, an extension of our own staff, acting on our behalf in a responsible and timely fashion.  In today’s heavy regulatory world, they have proven to be an excellent member of our team.  Their reputation for personal and professional integrity is above question.  I have nothing but the highest regard for the professional competence and ability of all of The Smart Associates personnel that we have worked with and do not hesitate in any way to recommend them most highly.”
-
Alfred Testa, Jr., Airport Director, Harrisburg International Airport

"...The Smart Associates, Inc. staff assigned to the EM role have provided reliable, conscientious and prompt reporting to the DEP. We have found the two individuals currently assigned from TSA, Michael Waterhouse and Keith Corley, to be effective and diplomatic representatives who have so far performed admirably in a very large and complex project. We feel that DEP's interests have so far been well-represented by TSA."

- Rachel Freed, Route 3 Project Manager, Division of Wetlands and Waterways, Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection

... TSA undertook a very ambitious project at Norwood Airport (OWD), which included the removal of vegetative obstructions from all of our Part 77 surfaces.  Because OWD is located completely in a state-designated Area of Critical Environmental Concern, the project drew special attention from environmental agencies, which were particularly skeptical due to the nature of past vegetation clearing projects at OWD.  As a result, the project required TSA to think and act “outside the box.”  In the final analysis, their plan was lauded by environmental regulators and satisfied the Massachusetts Aeronautics Commission and FAA’s requirements for economy and long-term effectiveness.”
-
Russel Maguire, Airport Manager, Norwood Memorial Airport

“TSA has demonstrated an extensive knowledge of the wide-ranging environmental issues facing airports and a commanding knowledge of the environmental regulatory requirements imposed on airports.  TSA’s strategic and problem-solving skills, the way in which they present the project to regulators, and the flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to the changing project needs, have clearly contributed to the success of our project.”
-
Jeff Schultes, A.A. E, Airport Manager, Portland International Jetport

“This document is about the best piece of work I’ve seen in many years.”
-Leslie Luchonock, Director, Areas of Critical Environmental Concern, Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management
